SPATIUM ULTRA BROADBAND TECHNOLOGY
CAP Wireless is a premier provider of extremely broad bandwidth (up to 20 GHz and beyond), high-power, high-efficiency, solid-state amplifiers for applications such as electronic warfare (EW) systems, radar and communication systems, laboratory instrumentation, and electromagnetic compatibility and interference (EMC/EMI) testing. CAP’s application-specific, cost effective power amplifiers are available in power levels to 100+ watts, in the industry's most compact form factors. They use semiconductor technologies such as LDMOS and GAN, as well as other technologies as specific applications require.
CAP ultra-broadband amplifiers incorporate the company’s patented Spatium spatial combining technology, which efficiently combines large numbers of amplifiers with inherently low loss structure, graceful degradation on failure, low-voltage operation, solid-state reliability, and good phase noise characteristics. In addition, a unique circuit topology used in conjunction with commercially available microwave monolithic integrated circuits (MMICs) provides a highly manufacturable platform. The topology leverages component commonality between different models, eliminating time-consuming redesigns for each variation and increasing repeatability unit-to-unit, resulting in significant time-to-manufacture cost-savings for customers.
